FARGO — Those with spare winter apparel can help people in need starting now, as the Salvation Army kicked off its annual Coats for Kids donation event Monday, Sept. 8.
Now through Sept. 26, you can drop off gently-used coats or other winter gear, like boots, snow pants, mittens and hats, at any of the Fargo-Moorhead Hornbacher’s locations.
Donation bins, labeled with the Salvation Army red shield logo, can be found at the store entrances.
Leaders with the Salvation Army said while the drive called “Coats for Kids,” you can donate adult sizes as well.
"Not just children, for adults. And sometimes the larger sizes are harder to get, the two, three, four 'X' sizes, and so if you have those available we'd appreciate the donation," said Maj. Abe Tamayo of the Salvation Army.
