The ACT Education Minister has blamed directorate system problems for school budget blowouts as staff anxiously wait for news about their 2026 jobs.
In a statement to the Australian Education Union, Yvette Berry said "the current budget situation has been caused by system-level management issues".
In July, principals were called into a meeting after 77 out of 92 schools were projected to run over budget.
