Tennessee State University students will have an opportunity to get clinical training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, thanks to a partnership between the two entities.

VUMC will host TSU students studying human performance and sport sciences (HPSS) in semester-long clinical immersions, according to a press release. One of the goals of the program is to prepare students for further education at VUMC.

Students in the program have concentrations in physical education, health education, exercise science and sport administration.

“The professionalism demonstrated by the team at Vanderbilt University Medical Center throughout this process has been exceptional," said Dr. Jason Smith, chair of the TSU HPSS Department.
