WARRICK COUNTY, Ind. (WEVV) — Warrick County Emergency Management Agency has sent out updates on assessment and cleanup following Saturday's chemical fire.

The fire took place outside of PBTT, Inc. along Vann Road Saturday afternoon. Due to the chemicals outside that caught on fire for hours, a "shelter-in-place" order was put into place for several hours near the fire scene outside of Newburgh. Smoke plumes from the fire also traveled across the Ohio River, into portions of Henderson and Daviess Counties in Kentucky, causing some "shelter-in-place" orders as well.

The orders were all lifted by Sunday and the Ohio Township Fire Department officially terminated operations by Sunday afternoon, turning over the scene to an environmental cleanup company and the property owner.
