ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen says Sunday’s home-opening win meant more than just the fight on the field.

For each home game this season, Allen will wear a one-of-a-kind New Era 9FORTY “Billustration Team Cap” designed by a patient at John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital. The caps will then be auctioned off to benefit the Patricia Allen Fund, with 100% of proceeds going directly to care for children and families across Western New York.

Week One’s cap was designed by Jaxson, a five-year-old patient who has spent his young life overcoming challenges. After 44 days in the NICU, he was diagnosed with Myotonic Dystrophy, a rare condition requiring 11 surgeries. Despite it all, Allen said, Jaxson’s “spirit never wavers.”
