BOLIVAR COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) - A three-year-old was killed and two others were injured during a crash in Bolivar County.

The crash occurred on Highway 1 south of Gunnison around 8:00 p.m. on September 4, 2025.

According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP), a 2021 Ram 2500 was traveling north on the highway when it collided with a 2025 Kia Sportage that was traveling south.

Troopers said a three-year-old occupant of the Kia was ejected and received fatal injuries. The child was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The one-year-old occupant of the Kia received moderate injuries, and the driver, 29-year-old Barni L. Flore, of Gunnison, received serious injuries. Flore was transported to a Memphis hospital for treatment.
