IDAHO, USA — The Cottonwood Campground at C.J. Strike Reservoir will be closed until October, beginning this week. Idaho Power, the company that owns the campsite, is installing new docks.

South of Mountain Home, the campground is a popular destination for fishing, boating and water skiing. It is one of four campsites operated by Idaho Power at the reservoir.

According to Idaho Power, the new floating docks are designed to withstand better changing water levels, frequent windy conditions, and high wave levels.

According to the company, it previously replaced the docks at North Park, which is at the northwest corner of the reservoir. The Narrows also underwent upgrades this summer. Updates at nearby Loveridge Bridge are also expected to be completed in the coming weeks.
