A landmark corner restaurant in Middletown is available to lease following the closure of Bruno’s Corner Bar & Family Italian Restaurant.
The building’s owner Max Randazzo said his tenant Bruno Passalacqua closed the restaurant at 101 E. Main St. in July.
A reason for the closing was not provided.
Randazzo said the building is available to lease and includes a liquor license.
Passalacqua opened Bruno’s in March 2024 as a family-friendly establishment with an Italian menu. Before opening, he remodeled the restaurant, creating an expanded dining area.
The building dates to at least the early 1800s and over the years has served in one capacity or another as a gathering spot. For decades, it has been synonymous with a bar, from the Lamp Post Inn to Black Horse Tavern and Old Coaly Pub &
