SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) - Two alleged Savannah gang members who pled guilty to their involvement in the 2016 gang-retaliation murder of 24-year-old Dominique Powell have been sentenced for additional crimes.
Tyriek Walker and Timothy Coleman Jr. are alleged Blood members, who along with two other alleged Blood members, Artez Strain and Arthur Newton, carried out the killing of Powell 2016.
The murder came at the behest of Newton who the State said ordered the hit from his jail cell.
According to the State, Powell defended himself during a robbery attempt, shooting and killing a Blood member.
Five days later, he was shot and killed by Coleman.
Walker and Coleman have already been sentenced for their involvement in the murder, but Monday they received an additional sentence for refusing to
