GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — After an employee’s death by suicide, one workplace decided to bring in the Be Nice. Action Plan to open the conversation about mental health.
Trinity Health West Michigan partnered with the Be Nice. Action Plan in hopes of opening conversations.
“We had to empower our colleagues to talk to each other using common language that we use every day, like when you would talk about somebody with diabetes or a bad hip, right? And the more we do that, the more we empower folks to get help they need and to have conversations with one another,” said Sam Frens, the administrative director of behavioral health at Trinity Health West Michigan.
