The Owen Sound Police Service has a new Deputy Police Chief.
Dave Bishop who most recently held the rank of inspector with the service, has officially assumed the role as of Monday.
Bishop began his policing career with the Waterloo Regional Police Service in 1986 and has had assignments in patrol operations, the tactical unit, as a detective in general investigations and in covert investigations in the drug unit. He was also the access to information coordinator and had seven years of experience in the professional standards, public complaints and internal affairs fields. In 1997, he was selected to serve as a human rights and war crimes investigator with the United Nations Mission in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
