SHIELDS, Wis. (WMTV) - The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office identified the 18-year-old driver Monday who died in a crash over the weekend.
Officials pronounced Caleb Guatemala, of Watertown, dead at the scene of the crash.
Authorities responded just before 6:30 p.m. Saturday to County Road Q and Pit Road, in the town of Shields, for a one-vehicle crash.
Deputies determined the 18-year-old was heading northbound on County Road Q when the vehicle drove off the road and hit several trees. The 2006 Acura sedan came to a stop about 50 yards off the road in a wooded area, explained Dodge County officials.
City of Watertown Fire and EMS, the Dodge County Crash Investigation Team, Dodge County Chaplains and the Dodge County Emergency Response all assisted in the crash investigation.
