FARGO — An alert parent reported a possible threat toward a school in Fargo over the weekend that led to a child being arrested for terrorizing.

A sergeant and four officers with the Fargo Police Department responded just before 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, to a report of a threat directed toward a school, the department posted to its Facebook page on Monday.

A parent of a student said their child had seen a Snapchat video showing what appeared to be a firearm, indicating the original poster would bring it to school. Officers immediately began investigating, the post said.

The officers quickly identified the juvenile suspect and went to their residence, where they recovered the weapon seen in the video, determined to be an AR-style BB gun.
