FARGO — Homeschooling doesn’t always have to be done in the home.
Parents of homeschooled children are getting a boost to their classroom. Sanford has launched a new physical education class specifically for homeschooled children.
Instead of taking their energy out in the backyard, Fargo-area homeschooled students are running drills at the indoor turf facility at the Fargo Parks Sports Center.
“Now they waste some energy and then concentrate on the academic work too,” said Ryan Schulz, who has two children in Sanford’s class.
The program was inspired by a Fargo-area parent who saw similar options in Bismarck. It gives kids a chance to use tools and exercises they can’t get at home.
