SARASOTA, Fla. ( WWSB ) - A couple accused of committing sexual acts on a flight to Sarasota won’t be back in a courtroom any time soon. The reason? Prosecutors say a jurisdictional question is slowing the case.

The incident happened in July on a flight from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport to Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport. Witnesses reported that Trista Reilly performed sexual acts on Christopher Arnold in front of other passengers.

A mother and a flight attendant told deputies they saw what happened. Two underage children also allegedly witnessed the acts, according to investigators.
