Maryland Powerball surge creates $1 million winner and 12 more big-ticket prizes in record week
BALTIMORE, MD – As Powerball fever swept the country with a $1.787 billion jackpot drawing on September 6, Maryland Lottery players quietly racked up more than $13.4 million in prizes — including one newly minted millionaire and 12 others who each claimed at least $50,000.
