LANDOVER, Md. (DC News Now) -- There's no letdown of enthusiasm from Washington Commanders fans, following Sunday's 21-6 season-opening win at home over the NY Giants.

"A great win. It's an amazing time in the DMV as a Commanders fan," Rochelle Slater, of Hyattsville, said.

Washington won its season-opening game for the second straight season.

"I say miraculous because it was their first game, and [Jayden] Daniels made the first touchdown, and they operated as a team," said Rosalind Westbury of Riverdale.

The victory gave the Commanders a victory start to the new season. It also gave fans something they said lacked in previous years--confidence.
