ADA, Minn. — A special celebration took place Monday, Sept. 8, in Ada, Minnesota, to mark National Grandparents Day.

A well-known author joined preschool children, who connected with seniors at Benedictine Living Community on this special day to honor grandparents.

Amy Aanenson is no stranger to Ada. She grew up there, and family is from there too. But on Monday, the longtime educator returned to read from her new children's book "My Wish For You," which she wrote and illustrated. Her artwork just recently got a jump start.
