Regional play is in its infancy in Week 3 of the AHSAA high school football season in the Montgomery-area.

Week 2 saw some dominant wins by the likes of Pike Road, Montgomery Academy and Carver. The trio didn't allow more than a touchdown in their first regional contest.

Montgomery Catholic dropped its first game in 5A Region 2 after failing to win the fourth quarter against Eufaula. Wetumpka is currently in a losing streak after falling to Russell County 31-18 in Week 2.
