A man was stabbed at Reminisce Festival as he tried to walk closer to the main stage. Merseyside Police were called to Sherdley Park in St Helens at around 5.15pm on Saturday, September 6.

It was reported that a 26-year-old man showed up at the medical tent of the dance festival with multiple stab wounds. Police said it was further reported the attack happened as the victim and his friends were moving through the crowd to get closer to the main stage when he was assaulted by a gang of men.

The victim was taken to hospital having suffered injuries to his back and chest and is now recovering at home. Detective Inspector Steve Byrom said: "This cowardly attack could have had ended up in more tragic consequences for the victim.
