DULUTH — According to the rest of the WCHA, Minnesota Duluth is the fourth-best team in the league, but the top team in the net.
Bulldogs junior goaltender Eve Gascon is once again the goalie of the Preseason All-WCHA Team, an honor she was bestowed a season ago before claiming almost all of the top goaltending honors — All-WCHA first team goalie, WCHA Goaltender of the Year and American Hockey Coaches Association first-team All-American.
Gascon just returned to Duluth and Amsoil Arena after spending August at Canada’s National Team Orientation Camp in preparation for the 2026 Olympics in Italy. She and sophomore UMD forward Caitlin Kraemer are both candidates to make the 2026 Canadian Olympic team.
