HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve is closed for two weeks starting Monday.

A city contractor is repaving and restriping the attraction’s two main public parking lots, which includes approximately 280 parking stalls.

Work is scheduled from Monday, Sept. 8, through Tuesday, Sept. 23, weather permitting.

The nearly $840,000 repaving contract is being done by Seal Pros LLC.

The main roadway into Hanauma Bay was last repaved in October 2019 with the commercial vehicle parking lot repaved in September 2017.
