FRANKLIN COUNTY, N.C. (WTVD) -- Franklin County deputies have ended a standoff with an armed, barricaded man.

The scene unfolded on Monday evening on Twin Creek Drive near Bunn.

Sheriff Kevin White said the man fired shots at deputies.

A county spokesperson told ABC11 that deputies responded to a shots-fired call around 5:30 p.m.

A heavily armored truck, as well as the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation Bomb Squad, is on the scene.

Family members of the man inside spoke with ABC11. His daughter-in-law, who did not want to be identified, said she was inside the house when she heard three gunshots. She got out and called 911, she said, in hopes of getting him some help.
