84-year-old Kansas woman rescued from floodwaters by local fire department

TESCOTT, Kan. (KAKE) -- An Ottawa County woman was rescued by local firefighters after flooding hit her small town on Monday afternoon.

Marilyn Helmer, 84, was returning home to Tescott from a doctor’s appointment in Salina Monday afternoon when the rain quickly turned into flooding.
