TOULON, Ill. (KWQC) - A Toulon man was arrested on multiple charges, including 36 counts of child pornography on Saturday.

The Toulon Police Department got a report about an order of protection possibly being violated on Aug. 13, according to a media release.

Investigators learned the victim got a threatening call from an unknown number. Police said the victim and another person identified the caller as 33-year-old Alex Nowlan of Toulon.

Police said officers searched Nowlan’s home and found evidence, weapons and narcotics.

A detention hearing was held and pursuant to the Illinois SAFE-T Act, Nowlan was released under GPS monitoring, officials said.
