ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- Since July 1, a total of 11 firearms have been stolen out of cars in Albemarle County. Police say one of their biggest concerns is how easily people are able to get into cars, and how accessible the guns are.
“Guns are typically stolen from a vehicle that's unlocked, because they are just checking the handles for opportunities,” Albemarle County Police Department Detective Jo-Ann Hannahs said.
