TOWN OF VIENNA, Wis. (WKOW) -- One person was killed and another seriously injured in a crash Monday in the Town of Vienna, near Waunakee.

The Dane County Sheriff's Office says authorities were called to the intersection of County Highway I at Cuba Valley Rd. around 4:45 p.m.

They say a vehicle that was westbound on Cuba Valley Road didn't stop at a stop sign and was hit by a car going north on County Highway I.

The 63-year-old driver of the westbound vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. The man's name has not been released since family members are still being notified.

The other driver, a 60-year-old, was taken to the hospital by Med Flight with serious injuries.

The road was closed for about four hours, but has since reopened.
