WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The Big E Fair is set to kick off this Friday, with vendors and organizers making final preparations for the highly anticipated event.

The Big E Fair, a major regional attraction, draws thousands of visitors each year. This year, 600 vendors are gearing up for the opening day, ensuring everything is ready for the crowds.

"Oh my God, dozens and dozens!" said Tony Calabrese of Calabrese Market & Deli, when asked about the number of sandwiches they expect to make in a day.

Calabrese Market & Deli has been a staple at the Big E's food court for over two decades. Tony and Gina Calabrese are busy with last-minute preparations, including food prep and inspections, to ensure everything is perfect for opening day.
