LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) -- The Bayou Vermilion Boat Parade will take place on Saturday, September 27, starting at Vermilionville and ending at Southside Park, celebrating the recreational and conservation efforts of the Bayou Vermilion District.
Participants can join the parade using canoes, kayaks, or motorized boats, highlighting the river's viability as a recreational resource for Lafayette Parish citizens.
The parade sets sail at 11:30 a.m. from Vermilionville, with the New Natives Brass Band providing musical entertainment along the 10.6-mile route to Southside Park.
For those preferring a shorter journey, there is an option to join the parade at Camellia Boulevard, which is a 5.0-mile route to Southside Park.
