LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) - In a story, you’ll see only on News 10, the Lafayette City Marshal and Lafayette Police Department teamed up to end alleged prostitution and drug activity in city parks.

"We have been receiving many calls at Beaver Park." said City Marshal Reggie Thomas

Thomas says these calls are coming from people saying they are seeing prostitution in the park.

"People are being approached by men, soliciting sex." said Thomas.

Thomas, whose office is now over patrolling the parks, says this will not happen on his watch.

“That's a form of prostitution and it won't be allowed in the parks." explained Thomas
