JOHNSTON CITY — Students and staff at Jefferson Elementary are settling into a new school year inside a building that looks and feels dramatically different after a multi-year renovation and expansion.
The school, now an attendance center serving pre-K through second grade, underwent a long-overdue overhaul that added a new classroom wing, updated the kitchen and cafeteria and expanded student support spaces.
