GOOCHLAND, Va. (WWBT) - Curious and concerned community members filled the Goochland High School auditorium for tonight’s meeting. At some points, even erupting into applause as county leaders read out question cards that resonated with the room.

“Why does Goochland want to implement by, right when other counties in the region have dialed back on this approach?” Goochland County Administrator Dr. Jeremy Raley read from a community input card as the room erupted in applause. “This is a fundamental question,” Raley replied.

Raley fielded questions from a packed Goochland High School auditorium at Monday night’s 2-hour community meeting.

Goochland County laid out its plans to create a “Technology overlay district” around West Creek Business Park and areas north and south of it.
