On Tuesday at 12:16 a.m. the National Weather Service released a frost advisory valid between 2 a.m. and 8 a.m. for Herkimer, Hamilton, Schoharie, Albany, Greene and Ulster counties.

The weather service adds to prepare for, "Temperatures as low as 33 degrees will result in frost formation."

"Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered," adds the weather service. "Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold."
