CLOVIS, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – During Monday's city council meeting, dozens of dancers from the city's senior center came out to express their disappointment with how the city has handled adding pickleball to the center's multi-purpose room.
The dancers said the rough paint they added to the floor to outline the court is making it difficult to dance. However, pickleball players said they just need more space for their growing sport.
"I guess it used to be only tennis versus pickleball people or maybe volleyball versus pickleball, and now the ballroom dancers versus pickleball too," player Hans Kam said.
Kam said he's used to being picked on when it comes to finding a place to play.
