WASHINGTON, D.C., (KSEE/KGPE) – Monday marked the first day of the 32nd journey bringing veterans from around the region on the trip of a lifetime to our nation’s capitol.
On this trip, 73 veterans — 68 men and 5 women — each with different stories and experiences, came together to share love for our country.
"Central Valley Honor Flight is our opportunity to show them that we get it. That their sacrifice is not forgotten, that it hasn’t gone unnoticed, and that it really means something," said Paul Loeffler, co-founder and board president for Central Valley Honor Flight.
The flight invites veterans — this time ages 68 to 93 — serving in wars from Korea, the Cold War, Vietnam, and even some in the Middle East.
