Nissan Australia says it’s “ready” for the next-generation ‘Y63’ Patrol 4WD SUV , opening the door to an earlier launch Down Under if it becomes available before the current late-2026 timing.
Managing director for Nissan Oceania, Andrew Humberstone, told CarExpert the Japanese brand’s local arm is working hard to satisfy its strong order bank of the current Y62 Patrol as it heads for retirement, and is pushing hard to get the new Y63-gen Patrol “as quickly as [we] can”.
“I’m being greedy, I’m trying to get as much as I can, as quickly as I can,” Mr Humberstone said. “We have a strong order bank of Y62 and we’ve said we’re ready to receive Y63 as early as possible”.
