A man has suffered extensive burns and is fighting for life after a raging inferno broke out at a tyre shop at Caboolture in the Moreton Bay Region, leaving numerous cars reduced to ash.

Emergency services rushed to Caboolture Tyres and More at about 12:54pm in the Moreton Bay Region after an enormous blaze erupted at the popular establishment.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman told the Courier Mail a man was treated at the factory for “life-threatening” injuries and extensive burns to his lower body.

He was rushed to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a serious condition.

It is believed the man was in the process of filling up a brake fluid container when it exploded.
