A Coronation Street star has hinted at crossover drama as he said, "There's plenty happening".

Actors Alan Halsall and Jennie McAlpine, who portray Tyrone and Fiz Dobbs on the soap, made an appearance on ITV's Good Morning Britain on Tuesday (September 9).

They spoke to hosts Ed Balls and Susanna Reid about a huge storyline for Tyrone after he was knocked over in a hit and run on Monday (September 8) night.

The beloved character was taken to hospital after being struck by a vehicle that had swerved to miss teenager Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) near the Weatherfield Precinct.

Discussing the accident's consequences for Tyrone, Alan told GMB: "This is a big storyline and also a sensitive storyline that we've got to be careful with," reports the Daily Star .
