FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - A warming trend takes hold for the rest of this week, bringing us up to the mid 80s by the upcoming weekend.

Highs for Tuesday will make it into the upper 70s under partly to mostly sunny skies. We’ll remain dry for the entire workweek, but there are some weak signals at stray shower chances this weekend. As we warm up over the next several days, there remains some uncertainty in how long the warming trend will last. There’s a bit of back-and-forth in the upper levels battling to extend the warming trend into next week or bring in cooler air to make things more fall-like. At this point, we’ll look for more data runs to confirm which trend looks more likely for next week (stay tuned).

Today : Partly to mostly sunny; High 78; Wind E bec. S ~ 5
