GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - Florida Gator defensive lineman Brendan Bett issued an apology after spitting on a USF player during final drive of Saturday’s loss.
Bett apologized to USF player Cole Skinner as well as his teammates and fans in an Instagram post.
Bett was hit with a 15-yard penalty and was ejected from the game.
The Bulls would go on to win the 18-16 on a game-winning field goal.
The Gators will be in Baton Rouge to take on third ranked LSU on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. on TV20.
