LAKE CITY, Fla. (WCJB) - A month after a home was intentionally set on fire in Lake City, officers say they’ve arrested the man responsible.

Officers arrested Damien Morgan, 33, on Monday on the charge of arson in connection with an incident that occurred on Aug. 8.

A woman called 911 around 3 a.m. after receiving an alert from her security system, which showed someone on her property on Southeast Monroe Street. She also observed a flash of light and smoke coming from the side of her home.

The fire burned some exterior panels of the home. Officers say they found an open bottle of lighter fluid nearby, indicating the fire was intentionally set.
