PORTSMOUTH — The City Council voted to hold three separate public hearings at its Sept. 24 meeting on measures that would allow social districts (regulated outdoor drinking areas) — and prohibit Keno and “games of chance.”
The Sept. 8 votes were unanimous to hold the three distinct public hearings.
After the public hearings on Sept. 24, the City Council is then expected to vote to decide whether to put each measure on the city’s Nov. 4 municipal ballot, Mayor Deaglan McEachern stated. That would give city residents the final say on each, according to city officials.
