A restructured joint economic development zone agreement between the cities of Rossford and Toledo has been approved by one council, with the other preparing for multiple ordinance readings.
At Monday’s meeting, Rossford City Council heard the first reading on amending a 1991 agreement with Toledo. Toledo City Council approved the agreement earlier this month.
Rossford Solicitor Kevin Heban said he expects the full three readings on this ordinance, and any councilmen with questions should reach out to him.
In an interview earlier Monday, Mr. Heban and Mayor Neil MacKinnon said the amended agreement has been in the works since 2019.
