CHICO — It’s been an electrified summer so far, and there may be more to come.
A slow moving weather system, passing through Northern California from Monday through Thursday, is expected to bring slight cooling, wind gusts, about 0.25 inches of rain and chances of lightning, according to a forecast by National Weather Service Sacramento.
Unlike weather conditions in late August which caused more than 25 lightning fires in the Cal Fire-Butte County unit, this week’s storm has not yet warranted an advisory for fire weather conditions, according to NWS meteorologist Sara Purdue.
