JACKSON COUNTY, Mich. (WILX) - A crash involving a scrap truck has led to the closure of both eastbound and westbound lanes of I-94 at Exit 124 (M-99/Eaton Rapids Road) in Jackson County.

According to authorities, the semi rolled over in the median just east of the Calhoun County line, dumping its load of scrap and blocking traffic in both directions.

The driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital.

Currently, both eastbound and westbound I-94 are reduced to one lane, with traffic being routed onto the shoulder in each direction.

The incident has caused significant backups, with delays expected to extend into Calhoun County. There is no estimated time for full freeway reopening as cleanup and crash investigation efforts continue.
