A beautician has been jailed for just six years for trafficking £15 million worth of drugs through a United States airport on her way home to Manchester Airport.

Kimberley Hall, 29, was travelling to Manchester Airport when she was stopped at Chicago's O'Hare airport after two suitcases packed with 43kg of cocaine were found.

The beautician from Middlesbrough was later charged with possession with intent to supply and faced a lengthy sentence.

She was facing 60 years behind bars in America if found guilty but a plea deal meant she would serve just a fraction of the maximum term, reports the Mirror .
