The popular BBC dance contest returns to screens later this month with a fresh new batch of celebrities ready to make their ballroom debut in the hopes of winning the Glitterball Trophy. ‌

However, when it comes to casting a vote for your favourite celebrity and professional dancer duos, a widespread BBC change will massively impact the show. The broadcaster is getting rid of premium-rate phone voting, with this year’s televised Eurovision Song Contest in Basel being the last example of it for the BBC. ‌
