School bus involved in crash in West Haven

WEST HAVEN, CT (WFSB) - A school bus was involved in a crash in West Haven on Tuesday morning, police confirmed.

West Haven police said it happened at the intersection of Spring Street and Front Avenue.

The involved bus was said to have been a New Haven school bus.

Police said their preliminary investigation revealed that the bus driver traveled eastbound on Spring Street and turned left onto Front Avenue.

The driver of the second vehicle headed west on Spring Street. Police said that driver crashed into the back of the bus as it was still in the intersection.

Police said two children went to area hospitals with minor injuries.

The driver of the second vehicle declined medical attention at the scene.

The crash remained under investigation later Tuesday morning.
