COLCHESTER, Conn. (WFSB) - A skunk has tested positive for rabies in Colchester.
According to the Chatham Health District, the skunk was found in the area of Caverly Mill Road and Norwich Avenue.
Chatham Health District, which serves the towns of Colchester, East Haddam, East Hampton, Hebron, Marlborough and Portland, is warning residents not to approach any wild animals or domestic animals that they do not know.
Residents who are concerned they may have come into contact with the rabid skunk should speak to their doctor or reach out to Chatham Health District at (860) 365-0884.
