FOLLY BEACH — Taco Boy did not contribute to bride Samantha Miller’s April 2023 wedding-night death , her husband conceded after the driver who crashed into a golf cart carrying the newlyweds swore her former employer had nothing to do with the tragedy.

The popular Mexican eatery has tried unsuccessfully for nearly two years to be released from the wrongful death lawsuit that groom Aric Hutchinson filed against it, driver Jamie Komoroski and several other Folly Beach establishments.

The lawsuit contended that on the night of the collision, Komoroski consumed alcohol at The Drop In during a Taco Boy employee function that she, a new hire, believed she had to participate in to get good shifts and tables.
